Role: Copy Writing Intern at the SAA, a subset of the Alumni Association focused on creating a community for students throughout their school years and beyond graduation.
As a member of the marketing team, I formatted and wrote the email copy sent to the organization’s members and ran the blog about events and other news. In my messaging, I focused on maintaining a welcoming and fun tone to engage members, parents and future students and also increase attendance at SAA events.

From November of 2019 to May of 2020, I crafted posts about what was going on with the Student Alumni Association. I covered events, spotlighted individuals and groups involved in the organization, and kept readers up to date on general news around campus.
Email Copy
The Student Alumni Association hosts several events every term geared at improving students’ college experience. There are year round networking opportunities, watch parties during sport seasons, and end-of-term study hours to name a few. I built the emails that went out to students encouraging attendance and participation.
